Latin Roots Dance Group and Association Inc.

Established in 2019 to help preserve Latin American culture in the province of Manitoba. Directed by members relatively new to the country and first and second generation Latino-Canadians.

 

We have three projects we’re currently working on: 

​

Hermano Lejano : Helping families or children in rural or needed areas in Latin America with basic needs or school supplies or a Christmas gift. 

​

Cultural Preservation : Weekly dance classes for all ages with the intention of being prepared for events or invitations to display our culture and folklore. The association pays instructors for their time and choreography. Participants or dancers don’t have any fees to pay and we cover the costs of regalia and costumes associated with the dances.

Bienvenidos a Canadá: Helping newly arrived families with basic necessities such as winter clothing, boots, or even helping with cooking needs and basics like rice, beans, cooking oils or utensils.
